How to Force a User to Change Password from WHM?

As a reseller, you might find occasions where prompting your users to change their cPanel password becomes necessary. Whether it's due to security concerns like malware or scripts, or simply for periodic password rotation, you can enforce a password change for users during their next cPanel login.

Forcing Password to change: 

  1. Access WHM by logging in.

  2. Navigate to Account Functions in the left menu.

  3. Click on the Force Password Change button.

  1. Locate your accounts in the list. Check the box under "Forced?"Choose the particular account (or opt for "Select All" to apply modifications to all accounts). Proceed by clicking the Submit button. A Success! message will appear in the bottom right. The next time the user logs into cPanel successfully, they will encounter a message indicating, "An administrator has requested you change your password."
