Performing complex as well as simple database management tasks is the key to maintaining websites. This is why MySQL database management is a basic requirement for any hosting. This includes creating, cloning and deleting databases. In this tutorial, we will show you the steps to delete a MySQL database using cPanel.
Warning: Deleting a database means permanent loss of its data. Be sure to take a backup before deleting the database.
To delete a MySQL Database
1. Log in to your cPanel account.
2. Scroll to the DATABASES section and click MySQL® Databases.
The MySQL® Databases application opens.
Go to the Current Databases section, where you will see a list of active databases.

A message will appear asking for confirmation.
4. Click Delete Database.
cPanel will delete the MySQL database and remove it from the Current Databases list.
