If you have a VPS or dedicated server (ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com) you can register your own name server.
Your first step is to get IP addresses that you can point to your domain name servers.
IP addresses will be indicated in your welcome email, otherwise you can contact our support team at any time.
Once you have the IPs, you can register a name server with your domain registrar If the nameserver is registered, you will need to set it on the server.
To do so, follow the steps below.
1. Configure WHM and >> ‘DNS services’ section >> Change DNS zone menu
2. Select the domain name you want to configure with the nameserver from the drop-down list and click ‘Edit’.
3. Update the ‘SOA record’ which lists your primary name server and email address If you want private name servers to be used automatically on all new cPanel accounts and you must also configure them for all addons before adding them to cPanel:
In WHM >> go to ‘Basic cPanel and WHM setup’ and add your own nameserver.
