Using Plesk To Stage Websites

Interested in doing website testing to evaluate changes before implementing them? The following guide provides instructions on using Plesk to create a staging environment for a website. Generate a duplicate version of your website for the purpose of making modifications and verifying flawless functionality prior to making it publicly accessible.

1.  Log in to the Plesk control panel and access "Websites & Domains" from the left sidebar.

2.  Click on "Add Subdomain" or "Add Subdirectory" to create the appropriate option.

3.  Fill in the relevant details, such as subdomain/subdirectory name and document root.

4.  Click on the "Website Copying" or "Clone Website" option, depending on your Plesk version, and select the destination subdomain/subdirectory.

5.  Once the website is staged, make changes and update plugins, themes, or extensions as desired.

6.  Test and review changes to ensure everything works as expected.
