How to Install SSL Certificate Using “SSL It!” Extension on Plesk?

In Plesk, you have the option to install both free and premium SSL/TLS certificates using Let’s Encrypt’s “SSL It!” extension. Additionally, you can install SSL/TLS certificates that you already possess.

Follow these steps to install an SSL certificate with Let’s Encrypt on Plesk:

  1. Log in to your Plesk account.

  2. Navigate to Websites and Domains, then select SSL/TLS Certificates.

Note: The status "Domain not secured" will be visible under SSL/TLS Certificates, signifying that the domain lacks SSL protection.

  1. To start the process, select "Get it free."

  1. The Let’s Encrypt window for SSL certification will appear. Enter an email address for notifications and lost-key recovery. Choose what to secure in addition to the main domain:

  • Wildcard Domain: Matches one or more subdomains.

  • "www" subdomain and selected domain aliases.

  • Webmail on the main domain.

  • IMAP, POP, SMTP mail domains.

Simply select the desired options, then click the "Get it free" button.

Let’s Encrypt will generate and install the SSL/TLS certificate automatically.

Upon visiting SSL/TLS Certificates and inspecting the list of Secured Components, your domain will be marked as secured.
