How to Reboot a VPS/Dedicated Server via WHM?

To reboot your VPS or Dedicated server through WHM, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to WHM on your server using root credentials.

  2. Go to the Server Reboot section:

Choose one of the available options:

  • Forceful Server Reboot: This option forcefully reboots your system and may result in data loss.

  • Graceful Server Reboot: This option initiates a system reboot without data loss as the reboot is queued. All services will be stopped normally, allowing ongoing operations to complete.

  • Graceful Server Reboot is recommended, but if there is a high load on the server, it may not be sufficient. Only use the Forceful Server Reboot option if the Graceful Reboot fails.

After selecting your preferred option, click the "Proceed" button.

The Graceful Server Reboot typically takes approximately 5 minutes, while the Forceful Server Reboot may take up to 15 minutes to complete.
